Domiciliary Care

Knightingles Healthcare are passionate about supporting you to continue living independently in your own home. That’s why we provide a range of home care services – also referred to as domiciliary care services – that can be entirely tailored to your unique needs, including companionship and full time live-in care.

Everybody’s needs are different, so the service we provide will be tailored to your specific requirements to allow our service users to lead more fulfilling lives, whatever their health and social care needs are. We are committed to supporting older people to retain or regain their skills and independence as far as possible, whilst enjoying wellbeing and a good quality of life.

Dressing, undressing and bathing are aspects of everyday life that many of us start to find difficult over time. If you care for a loved one, there may be many reasons why you’d like help with their personal care, from feelings of embarrassment, to worries about safety (particularly if it means needing to move or lift your loved one). Our experienced and highly trained support workers can solve the problem by taking on as much or as little responsibility as you wish, stepping in when you need us to.

Why use home care

  • Sharing the responsibility: We understand that many family members wish to remain the primary carer of a loved one. We completely support this approach, sharing the responsibility of care by stepping in where and when you need us.
  • Completely flexible: We take on as much or as little of the care as needed, for as long or as short a time as you wish.
  • Removing anxiety: We are happy to help with those aspects of care that can cause discomfort or embarrassment for either or both parties, for example, with bathing or continence care.
  • Safe and sound: Given the nature of personal care, it’s typically delivered first thing in the morning and last thing at night. As such we can help loved ones to take any prescribed medications, and ensure that they are up safely or fully supported to bed, and all doors are locked securely when we leave

Knightingles Healthcare will:

  • Develop a personalised care plan with the service users requirements
  • Provide flexibility in the delivery of the care plan and match the support worker to the service users

  • Fully functioning activity program to cater for all interests
  • Working around service users not internal systems and processes
  • Support infrastructure to ensure a swift response to changes
  • Provide regular update to families and local authorities.
