Our Supported Living Services provide a variety of housing and support options for individuals who need assistance with daily living but prefer to maintain their independence outside of traditional residential care.
We take a person-centred approach, offering tailored support that empowers each individual to live independently within their community. Unlike standard residential care, our services focus on promoting autonomy, choice, and inclusion. We offer flexible, customised support designed to meet the unique needs and preferences of every person in our care.
Choosing supported living offers numerous benefits, making it an attractive option for many individuals:
Supported living strikes the perfect balance between independence and care. Our approach allows individuals to live in their own home or shared accommodation while receiving the necessary support. Whether it's assistance with daily activities, managing medications, or emotional support, we customise our services to meet each individual's unique needs and preferences. Supported living empowers individuals to lead more independent lives while ensuring they have access to the essential support and care they need.
Our care philosophy revolves around putting the individual at the heart of every decision. We work collaboratively with residents, their families, and healthcare professionals to design personalised care plans. This ensures that each person’s physical, emotional, and social needs are met in a way that empowers them to live life on their terms.
At Knightingles, we pride ourselves on our team of highly trained and compassionate caregivers. Our staff is dedicated to providing professional support while building meaningful, professional relationships with the individuals they care for. From helping with day-to-day tasks to providing companionship, we ensure that residents feel safe, valued, and respected.
We create living spaces that feel like home—secure, comfortable, and adapted to the needs of the individual. Our supported living arrangements are thoughtfully designed to ensure that residents feel confident in their surroundings, fostering an environment where they can thrive and maintain a sense of autonomy.
We understand that wellbeing extends beyond physical health. Our supported living services emphasize mental, emotional, and social wellbeing. Through community activities, social engagement, and support groups, we help individuals stay connected, active, and engaged, contributing to an overall better quality of life.
At Knightingles, we encourage choice and control at every stage. The people we support have the freedom to decide how they want to live, from their daily routines to selecting the type of support they need. This not only fosters independence but also empowers individuals to take control of their lives.
When you choose Knightingles Healthcare, you’re not just opting for care services—you’re joining a community. The experiences of those we work with speak volumes about the quality and compassion of our care.
I must thank you for your response in our hour of need. In a crisis one needs rapid and positive help, and that is what you supplied. Yesterday [carer’s name supplied] did very well in entering a new house at a time of crisis and looking after [supported person name supplied] for the day, picking up jobs and keeping the house in order.
I generally get to see the same people, which is beneficial because it allows me to build strong relationships and understand their needs better. Consistency is important in care, and seeing the same individuals regularly helps them feel more comfortable and secure, and it allows me to provide more personalised care.
Family member is very safe with the carers, they are all well trained and very pleasant. They always use their Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and are very careful.
I have supported Knightingles Healthcare in the past with writing and reviewing PRN protocols for their service users. I was impressed at the way staff at Knightingles Healthcare asked for support when it was required, rather than trying to muddle their way through. I met with a staff member from Knightingles Healthcare on Teams and we wrote the PRN protocols together. The staff member had good knowledge of the service user and their preferences. I provided the clinical oversight. More recently, they have contacted me again to review the protocols, which I will be doing with staff in due course.
Staffing levels are regularly reviewed to ensure they are adequate to meet the needs of the individuals we support. I have a manageable workload, which allows me time off to spend with my family.
I have 4 visits a day, always 2 staff and I know them well. They are trained, they know what to do and I am very safe with them.
I recently completed my Safeguarding refresher course, which I do on a yearly basis. Moreover, I attended a Safeguarding and Capacity training event in May 2024. I am working towards being the safeguarding champion.
They always go that little bit extra and help me with things they don’t really need to as it’s not really part of their job. It’s like having family around.
